We came in for a 4 day stay and loved it so much we extended our stay an extra day. We have had an amazing stay. The room was spotless. Definitely one of the cleanest we have stayed in. The staff is helpful and polite. They have laundry machines on site, well stocked and clean kitchenette, a little store in the lobby with the essentials, snacks put out in the morning, secure with locked building doors at night and everything within walking distance. We have hardly used our car as there is a beach, restaurants, market, etc within blocks of the hotel. Definitely recommend and will stay again on our next visit.

I was pleasantly surprised at how big and how clean my room was. It even smelled nice when I walked in. I also liked the fact that the front doors are always locked. It was also nice and quiet at night. I would suggest that instead of saying “ $200 cash deposit “ it would read “ $200 cash deposit- no credit or debit cards accepted “ because that would alleviate a lot of misunderstanding. They do have an ATM in the lobby so that was helpful. It really was a great deal for the room. The location is great and close to the harbor. I will definitely stay here again! 10/10 recommend.

Five stars because it’s great value for the price and location, and the staff is nice if you are nice. I actually decided to stay here because of how the hotel owner responded to some of the unfair reviews here 😂 I only wish I could have met the owner when I was here! Their replies seemed fair and it’s kind of refreshing that people doing dumb things can get called out for it (yesss referring to the reviewer who dyed her hair red at this hotel—like wow, way to do something so inherently and irreversibly messy; if you wouldn’t do it at your own house don’t do it at a hotel, jeeez). I also appreciate the NORMAL pet fee!! I will say, the beds in the pet friendly rooms are loud because they must have some heavy duty waterproof covers on them, but you really can’t blame them for that, and again, thank you for charging a normal pet fee. Some hotels try to charge $150 or more! Anyways, just came here to add my two cents since hotels are definitely a place where I rely on reviews. Oh, and special thanks for letting us park our oversized box truck in your lot—with permission of course! We called ahead and they were super nice about it.

I cannot leave a better review. The price was amazing. The room was amazing. The staff were all welcoming and super helpful. We came in from Tucson and they made us feel like locals. I have never been anywhere more welcoming away from home. The staff at the desk are all top notch at what they do. They all had great recommendations for the local scene and outlying areas. There have a little mini store in the lobby for all the things you forget when you pack. Toothpaste brushes mouthwash. Waters and.snacks. 10 minute walk to the beach. And a ton of restaurant choices on the way! Please visit these folks. They will make you feel at home.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Oceanside and would absolutely return. The location was incredibly convenient—and right off the freeway, making it extremely easy to find. Parking was free and conveniently located behind the hotel, which made arrival and departure effortless. Check-in was smooth and welcoming thanks to Mia, who was both efficient and genuinely friendly. I stayed in Room 201, which I would definitely request again. The room was spacious, exceptionally quiet, and impressively clean—both the bedroom and bathroom were spotless. One of the standout surprises was the excellent water pressure in the shower, something that made the stay even more comfortable. I also appreciated the thoughtful in-room amenities, including a refrigerator, sink, microwave, and coffee maker, which made the stay feel more convenient and home-like. The linens were fresh and immaculate, and the room was so clean that I didn’t even feel the need to use the slippers I had brought with me. Don’t forget to bring cash for the housekeeper! Even though I didn’t have a pet with me on this trip, the hotel is pet friendly and I appreciated that there were doggy poo bags available in the parking lot. One of my favorite moments was sleeping with the window open and enjoying the refreshing ocean breeze, even on a cool 52° evening. The peaceful atmosphere made for a restful night’s sleep. Overall, this was a quiet, comfortable, and very pleasant stay, and I would happily book here again.

My husband and I where pleasntly surpised by this hotel! The room was very clean (this is the main thing i look for) and came with a fridge and microwave. The walk to the beach is 10 min and its very close many eating spots! I read the disclaimer prior to arriving so I knew id have to pay a $200 deposit and the women at the front said it just goes back to the card. There is plenty of parking and the area overall is clean and safe. Minus a couple of cars with loud music driving by it was pretty quiet and the AC worked great! We will be making this our new stay when we visit!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean, I appreciated the 24/7 coffee in the lobby. Website says free breakfast but they don't do that, so be aware. Overall had a pleasant experience.

this hotel is a hidden gem in Oceanside …. check in went smoothly the young girl (Leilani) was super friendly and did our check in quickly we had a wedding to go to so she made sure we had enough of time to get ready. Our tv did go out but the night auditor was able to come up to fix it (Scott). They have fresh fruit and different grabs and go with coffee and hot water for tea in the mornings which was a plus. We were able to get a late check out 11:30AM which was perfect. Housekeeping and maintenance kept the hotel and outside area cleaned. You are close to everything there is an in and out just across the street and you are super close to the 5. will definitely be returning and recommending to people. Management has an amazing team working there !!
